Production Planning

In short, Production Planning is designed for facilities that pack to meet orders

• This is an alternative to the Production Board.
• This allows a manager to assign and prioritize order fulfillment for each order.
  • Once an order has been created, but has no inventory assigned to it, it shows up on the Production Planning screen.
  • Each order can be assigned to a Production Line.
  • Each order can be given a priority for fulfillment.
    • This could be used to manage floor personnel so they always know what is to be produced next.
  • Each order can then have inventory created and assigned to it.
  • Finally, the inventory simply needs to be loaded inside the order, on the Order Board, or on the Shipping Board, to complete the order fulfillment.
